“Things I Wish my Mother Had Said..(or maybe she did)” Author Genie Lee Perron will hold a book signing and talk at the Jonathan Bourne Public Library, 19 Sandwich Rd., Bourne, MA 02532.
The Jonathan Bourne Public Library will host a book talk and signing with local author Genie Lee Perron on August 5, 2014 at 7PM. A discussion and author signing of her newest book “Things I Wish my Mother Had Said…(or maybe she did)” will take place.
Perron’s book is a source of helpful guidance to daughters and people in general. Inspired by the advice spawn from her own mother from over the decades, “Things I Wish My Mother Had Said…(or maybe she did)” illustrates life lessons that every person needs to learn; from gratitude and self-love to holistic remedies and positive thinking, each chapter highlights encouraging ways to create a brighter, happier and more fulfilling way of life. This book brings a hopeful, positive, motivational message to readers.
The author lead an ideal childhood that seemed to crumble in 1989 starting with her mother’s diagnosis with cancer, her father’s heart disease and cancer diagnosis, two miscarriages, her own diagnosis with leukemia in 2000 and 4 months later her mother’s death. Finally, after the end of her marriage, Ms. Perron took a long look at her life and decided she needed to heal not just her body, but also her spirit. This book highlights the author’s steps to regain her footing when her world seemed to fall apart. Using conventional medicine and holistic healing methods, the author has been able to reconstruct a fairy tale life for herself. She hopes to uplift others so that they realize that changing their thoughts can truly change their reality.
