Cypress Bayou Hosting Big July 4th Weekend
Charenton, LA (PRWEB) June 25, 2014 -- Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel announced today its entertainment lineup for July 4th weekend. The fun starts Thursday, July 3rd with The Village People on stage in the Pavilion. Then Saturday night, country pop stars Sawyer Brown will headline with a show filled with three decades of tunes.
“We are bringing in two big acts for the 4th of July Holiday weekend to entertain our guests. The Village People remain one of the most crowd-pleasing acts on tour today. With songs that are still played in clubs and stadiums around the world, we are starting the weekend with pure fun,” said Anthony Patrone, CEO and General Manager of Cypress Bayou Casino Hotel.
The Village People are well known for their on-stage costumes depicting American cultural stereotypes and their catchy tunes, including their trademark "Macho Man", "Go West", "In the Navy", and their biggest hit, "Y.M.C.A.". They have sold upwards of 100 million records worldwide.
Sawyer Brown, one of the longest lasting groups in country music, is known for hits such as "Betty's Bein' Bad" and "Step That Step." Sawyer Brown has been a fan favorite since the 1980’s and is a mainstay of the country-music scene. The group has three certified gold albums and one certified platinum album to its name, and three Sawyer Brown songs have reached No. 1 on the country charts.
