A Global Peace Plan Honoring the Request of Jesus Christ submitted to Pope Francis
A proposal to unite all Christians in prayer at the Hour of Mercy, as per the request of Jesus, has been submitted to Pope Francis by http://passionofchrist.ca. This proposal requests that the Catholic Church implement an unprecedented, global campaign to make 3 pm, the Hour of Mercy, an extraordinary solemn moment in the lives of all believing Christians where we remember the greatest love of all – the love of Jesus Christ. Imagine what the world would be like if Christians all over the world united in prayer, at 3pm, if only for a few moments, to honour the great sacrifice of Jesus Christ and to ask Jesus to have mercy on us and bring healing to our suffering world.
“For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life. For God did not send his Son into the world to condemn the world, but to save the world through him.” John 3:16-17
The Prayer Revolution to Change the World
Politics cannot create lasting peace and end violence without the intervention and mercy of God. All Christians are urged to draw upon the most powerful weapon of all, prayer, to open the heart of God and conquer the forces of evil in the world. Ordinary people united in prayer calling for the mercy of Our Saviour Jesus Christ can bring lasting peace. For God all things are possible!
