Independent Hip Hop Artist La ' Vega Opens Up About Suicide, Sexual Abuse, and Depression on "My 4th Mixtape (PAIN)" on iTunes
New York, New York (PRWEB) June 08, 2014 -- La ' Vega is new to the New York City independent Hip Hop music scene. She's a popular up-and-coming Dominican female Rapper from Bronx, New York .
Abdel 'Sosa' Russell, the CEO of MVB Entertainment, signed La ' Vega to his independent music distribution label (MVBEMG), during the Summer of 2013, and placed her in the label's artist development program.
Since then La ' Vega has had a handful of photo shoots, two music videos, dance classes, vocal training, and she currently has her own stylist (Vee Vernard), and a hair & makeup beautician (LaChanelle).
La ' Vega has been in the recording studio every week since signing in July of 2013. She currently has a catalog of almost two hundred songs. To date her label has released several singles, a best of mixtape, and four mixtapes, which includes the latest "My 4th Mixtape (PAIN)."
The mixtape exposes a side of La ' Vega that is rarely seen, or heard. It's first track "Pray For Me" immediately prepares it's listeners for what they can expect throughout the mixtape, by diving into topics of suicidal thoughts, sexual abuse, and depression.
The following eight tracks are about La ' Vega's past relationships with men, women, her struggle with personal demons, and also about the struggle she faces while trying to pursue her dreams.
"My 4th Mixtape (PAIN)" can be described as dark, motivational, introspective, and brutaly honest. The mixtape is currently available on iTunes pre-order, with a release date of Tuesday, June 10th, and a following release date on music streaming stores such as Rdio, Spotify, Xbox Music, and Rhapsody, of Friday, June 13th.
