Tolteq to Show TruCourse™ MWD/LWD System at the 2014 Global Petroleum Show
Cedar Park, TX (PRWEB) June 09, 2014 -- Tolteq Group, LLC, (Tolteq) a leading provider of Measurement While Drilling (MWD) systems and components, declares its commitment to the Canadian market by introducing its groundbreaking next-generation downhole Measurement and Logging While Drilling (MWD/LWD) integrated system—TruCourse—at the Global Petroleum Show (GPS) in Calgary, Alberta, Canada on June 10-12.
The TruCourse System is a complete customer solution for delivering real-time drilling and formation data, as well as extensive logged information, and includes the TruCourse Top Mount Pulser, the TruCourse Directional Module with an integrated gamma sensor, the TruCourse Battery, and the TruCourse Integrated SureMate. The system features a number of technological advances never before seen in the industry, including concentric positive-lock connectors, conical snubbers, and a proprietary communication protocol that simplifies and speeds-up inter-tool communication.
To maximize the system's faster pulsing rates and extensive data, Tolteq will also release the TruCourse Surface System, an advanced rig-site solution that features an intuitive software interface, multiple display options, improved shock and vibration detection, and wireless capabilities, including remote monitoring.
The TruCourse system has been well-received by industry insiders and Tolteq clients, eliciting positive feedback during its debut at the Offshore Technology Conference (OTC) this past May. Tolteq’s Account Manager for North America, Jon Weatherly, believes that TruCourse will allow his clients to improve their drilling efficiencies through its many new features. “The potential impact on drilling performance is huge,” Weatherly explains, “TruCourse will allow for seamless LWD expandability, like natural gamma ray and resistivity, through its new communication bus while providing so much more directional and environmental data to the surface. The operator can drill with confidence, knowing that they are getting critical shock and vibration feedback, incredible snubbing efficiency, and the most accurate directional data in the industry. ”
Tolteq’s new TruCourse lineup enters the Canadian market at an opportune moment, as forecasters predict a rise in E&P spending into 2020, including growth in directional and horizontal drilling, as Canadian companies attempt to capitalize on unconventional resources.
