Deyta Launches New Quality Actionboards to Support Hospices in Complying with the CMS Hospice Item Set Requirement
Louisville, KY (PRWEB) June 11, 2014 -- Deyta, LLC announced today the launch of new Quality Actionboards for helping hospices capture, measure and report Hospice Item Set (HIS) data. As part of the CMS Hospice Quality Reporting Program (HQRP), all Medicare-certified hospices will be required to report the HIS data elements for all patients admitted on or after July 1, 2014.
Deyta’s Quality Actionboards solution is the next generation of the Quality Navigator product, originally designed for paper-based agencies needing a solution for the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) Condition of Participation. Designed by the same team of hospice quality experts, Quality Actionboards provide hospices with a robust web-based system that integrates with the electronic health record (EHR) while also meeting the needs of paper-based hospices for clinical quality measurement and management. Hospices will gain in-depth reporting insights to their performance on the HQRP-required NQF measures in addition to a broad selection of other industry-vetted quality measures. Benchmarking analysis will help hospices find relevancy in their data by showing how their scores compare to hospices across the country and more easily pinpoint improvement opportunities.
“Hospices have multiple ways for complying with this requirement, but we believe quality measurement is about more than compliance,” said Kevin Porter, President and CEO of Deyta. “Deyta’s Quality Actionboards are designed for driving performance improvement with the end result being better care for patients.”
As allowed by CMS guidelines, Deyta will submit HIS data to CMS on behalf of customers to further streamline efficiencies for hospices complying with this new requirement. The Quality Actionboards solution also features an Avoidable Events module for monitoring and improving potentially avoidable patient outcomes. The result is a comprehensive system for managing a high performance QAPI program.
Kevin Porter comments, “Many hospices are in panic mode trying to sort out new processes. The timing of ongoing data submission to CMS and knowing what to submit is complex. Quality Actionboards simplify this and deliver meaningful insights for improvement.”
Deyta will host a webinar, Preparing for the Hospice Item Set with Quality Actionboards on June 12. Hospices looking for ways to improve their performance on the newly required NQF measures and streamline HIS data capture are encouraged to attend.
