B. Braun to Showcase Contract Manufacturing for Medical Devices at 2014 MD&M East Conference
BETHLEHEM, Pa. (PRWEB) June 09, 2014 -- B. Braun’s OEM Division will display its contract manufacturing services and medical device components at the 2014 Medical Design and Manufacturing East (MD&M) conference and exhibition, June 10-12, at the Jacob K. Javits Convention Center in New York City.
B. Braun’s OEM Division (Booth 3301) will exhibit products from several categories: fluid administration and management products, valves, admixture devices, interventional accessories, catheters and custom kits.
The company will showcase its expanded Safecan™ Safety Introducer Needle Portfolio. The Safecan™ Introducer Needle is used to gain vascular access for the placement of a guidewire. It is designed to reduce the risk of needlestick injury and promote OSHA compliance. It features a patented safety clip that covers the needletip upon user activation and a sharp, lubricated needle tip designed to facilitate smooth access and minimize resistance during insertion. B. Braun’s OEM Division offers the Safecan Safety Introducer Needle in 21G and 18G sizes, both with a 2.75-inch or 1.5-inch needle either with or without an echogenic tip to facilitate the needle location via ultrasound. It is available bulk, non-sterile or sterile with CE marking. Custom designs are available.
The booth will also feature a hands-on valve station to demonstrate B. Braun’s extensive valve portfolio, which includes needle-free, normally closed, low pressure, high pressure, in-line, dual check, aspiration and trumpet options.
The 2014 MD&M East event (http://www.canontradeshows.com/expo/east14/) will assemble thousands of medical design and manufacturing professionals with the purpose of providing implementable strategies and showcasing best practices to overcome challenges that medical device manufacturers will face. MD&M exhibitors are suppliers of raw materials, software, manufacturing machinery, components, subassemblies, and contract services used to design and produce medical devices.
