Penhall Company, the market leader in concrete services, will donate their service, materials, equipment and labor to the Oak Ridge Cemetery’s Original Entrance Reproduction Project. This project consists of repairing the entrance to President Abraham Lincoln’s final resting place.
Preparations are being made for the 150th Commemoration of Lincoln’s Funeral Procession in May 2015. The historical accuracy of the reenactment of the procession depends on the successful completion of this original entrance according to organizers involved in the repairs. Penhall agreed to donate its services to help restore this important piece of history as part of its continued efforts to give back to the communities it serves.
Mike Long, Penhall Company’s local division manager, describes Penhall Company’s commitment to this cause, “We are honored to be able to donate our services to honor President Abraham Lincoln’s legacy and historic contributions to our country.”
Penhall looks forward to the successful completion of the entrance and to the 150th Commemoration of Lincoln’s Funeral Procession.
