Prestigious global conference on the rapidly growing ISO 31000 Risk Management Standard to be held in New York City
New York, NY (PRWEB) June 11, 2014 -- On July 14th and 15th, professionals and representatives of corporations and governments from around the globe will gather at 10 on the Park in New York City to participate in the Global Institute for Risk Management’s (G31000) third annual conference on the ISO 31000 risk management standard. ISO 31000 is the only international risk management standard accepted by most G20 nations.
G31000 is a non-profit entity and recognized global leader of the ISO 31000 standard, growing at an average rate of 500 new members per month. It recently expanded its infrastructure and reach by partnering with RISKIA – a leading risk management consultancy group for entities in Africa, Europe and South America. “For two years now, we have demonstrated our strong commitment in raising awareness on the ISO 31000 risk management standard. We are proud to represent G31000 in Spain and Latin America,” said Angel Escorial, Director of RISKIA.
A wide range of educational material, sessions and networking opportunities will be available at the conference. Of note, will be a presentation by Mr. Escorial regarding the current status and perspective of ISO 31000 in Spanish speaking countries. A prime focus of the conference will be relating risk management with performance, governance and decision making. A gala dinner will be held at A Voce restaurant in Columbus Circle where the organization will present its first ever “G31000 Global Awards” to individuals, organizations and governments who have demonstrated distinct knowledge and success in the global ISO 31000 risk management policymaking and implementation.
Conference participants will also be given the opportunity to join a two-day intensive course and exam following the event, at the same venue, where they can earn foundation level or lead trainer certification in ISO 31000.
Participants at these events will have the tools to significantly improve their risk management skills and overall performance. “This year,” notes Alex Dali, President of G31000, “attendees will have a chance of meeting top companies in different sectors, demonstrating how use of a structured ISO 31000 risk management standard, have helped high performing firms attain their objectives.”
