Hitachi Solutions America Partners with SAN Solutions to Offer Advanced Technology for the SAN Metro Media™ Cloud
Reno, NV (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- Hitachi Solutions America and SAN Solutions, Inc. have agreed to form a strategic partnership to integrate Hitachi Solutions America’s technology into SAN Solutions’ SAN Metro Media™, the ultra-low latency cloud for media. Initial areas of Hitachi’s development include technology for secure media file encryption for in-flight and content-at-rest protection, accelerated media file transfer technology using http protocol for uploading and downloading with the cloud, and specific high-performance media transcoding technology for broadcast TV and web content delivery and exchange.
SAN Metro Media™ is the first cloud infrastructure designed specifically to meet the security and performance requirements of file-based workflows in production, post-production, distribution, archival, and monetization of content. SAN Metro Media’s™ core cloud infrastructure includes multiple classes of storage systems and computing resources as well as applications and file systems for the management, processing, delivery and exchange of content. Solution sets developed on top of this cloud platform can leverage the incorporated advanced technologies as services. All workflow solutions from SAN Metro Media™ are offered in a subscription commerce model.
