HNTB announces Johnny Morcos has joined the firm as program manager in Chicago.

Johnny is a driven engineer who knows the value of providing quality services to our clients.

Johnny Morcos, PE, has joined HNTB Corporation as program manager and associate vice president and will be based in Chicago.

Prior to joining HNTB, Morcos served the Chicago Department of Transportation for more than 10 years, working on a variety of projects including bridges, tunnels and highways. While serving at CDOT, Morcos managed several high-profile projects including Wacker Drive and the Wells Street double-leaf bascule bridge over Main Branch Chicago River. Morcos also served as acting Chief Bridge Engineer for CDOT in 2012 and 2013.

“Johnny is a driven engineer who knows the value of providing quality services to our clients,” said Dave Crosson, PE, vice president and Chicago office leader. “He knows what it was like to be the client and therefore, as a consultant, will be able to understand and provide better services to our clients.”

Morcos graduated from the University of Illinois at Chicago with a bachelor’s degree in civil engineering. He is a member of the American Society of Civil Engineers. In 2013, the Illinois section of ASCE named Morcos the Young Government Engineer of the Year.
