Country Music Superstar Phil Vassar to Headline Brownells 75th Anniversary Celebration
Montezuma, Iowa (PRWEB) June 10, 2014 -- Brownells officially turns 75 years old this June, and the Montezuma, Iowa-based company has a big celebration planned. On Saturday, June 21, 2014, Brownells and the city of Montezuma are hosting “Monte Fest presented by Brownells.”
Billboard Country Songwriter of the Year Phil Vassar, best known for his chart-topping country hits, “Just Another Day in Paradise,” “Carlene,” “Six-Pack Summer” and “In a Real Love,” will headline the show. Fox’s X-Factor Season Two winner Tate Stevens will open for Vassar. Local bands Cardinal Sound and The Cody Hicks Band will kick off the free-to-the public event at 4PM and 5:15 PM respectively.
In addition to the free music entertainment, the family-friendly event will include carnival-style rides, inflatables, climbing walls, face painting and more. Admission to the rides will cost just $5.00 per person for an all-night pass.
The company isn’t the only one celebrating a major milestone. Brownells Chairman of the Board Frank Brownell will celebrate his 75th birthday at the show, and will be honored for his 50th year of service to the company that bears his name.
“We’re very excited to celebrate our 75th anniversary,” said Brownells CEO Pete Brownell. “We’ve got some great entertainment lined up and we’re looking forward to a fantastic event. We’re also excited to help our local school district who’s hosting a 50/50 raffle. They’ll be using the money they raise to help students participate in extracurricular academic activities. Monte Fest is being held on the Montezuma, Iowa, town square, and will start at 4PM and conclude at approximately 10PM with a fireworks show.
