MBE Magazine Unveils New Cover Design, Invites Everyone to 30th Anniversary Kick-Off at Annual WBENC Conference
Henderson, NV (PRWEB) June 12, 2014 -- MBE magazine has some exciting events in store for this year’s Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) National Conference and Business Fair in June. This year marks the publication’s 30th year, and it’s celebrating in style with a new look, fresh perspective and fourteen exceptional WBEs Who Rock.
MBE unveiled a new look earlier this month. For the first time in the publication’s history, it stepped away from its traditional oil painting portrait to don a photo of four exceptional women business enterprises (WBEs) along with the publication’s new 30th anniversary logo.
Barbara Oliver, Publisher of MBE magazine, said “We are excited to share our new commemorative cover with our readers and supporters. We wanted something fresh and different for this historic launch of this landmark 30th Anniversary year.”
The publication revealed its fresh new cover look on the May/June issue, just in time for this year’s WBENC ‘s National Conference in Philadelphia. There, MBE will be kicking off its 30th Anniversary celebration at a Launch Reception on the opening night of the conference, Monday, June 23rd. The highlight of the reception will be the announcement of the fourteen winners of the WBEs Who Rock contest – which honors women who excel not only in business, but also play an active role in their communities. The event will feature entertainment by “The Soul Violinist,” Lee England Jr., who is the first non-athlete to be signed to Michael Jordan’s Brand. His music combines traditional string instrumentation with modern hip-hop and soul influences, which promises to provide a memorable evening of musical delights.
MBE would like to thank event co-host Mortgage Staffing Solutions, entertainment sponsor Grady Health System and WBENC for their support. The publication would also like to thank CVS Caremark and WBEC-West for signing on as 30th Anniversary Sponsors, joining Urban Lending Solutions, Mosaic Global Transportation, GSD&M, Southern California Edison, Southern California Gas Company, ICE Safety Solutions, Nielsen, Cargill, Save-A-Lot, and Travertine Spa.
Stay tuned for updates on MBE’s 30th Anniversary Experience and look out for its upcoming contest, “How Do You MBE?” Details will be announced shortly.
