The Practice, whose total of over 150 doctors serve communities across New York and New Jersey through 41 clinical locations, also recognizes that there are some medical conditions that require the additional training and expertise of sub-specialists…like otologists, rhinologists, and laryngologists. This latter class of fellowship-trained physicians treat the challenges of acid reflux, swallowing disorders, chronic hoarseness and cough, and often care for the professional voice. In fact, physicians in the Practice regularly refer their own patients to these sub-specialists when the need requires the specialized expertise they offer.
With this in mind, ENTA is always seeking to supplement its roster of sub-specialists, and is delighted to announce that a new laryngologist will be joining ENTA’s Sleepy Hollow office. Dr. Sal Taliercio will begin practicing full-time at ENTA’s Sleepy Hollow site, located at 358 North Broadway, beginning August 1st, 2014. Dr. Taliercio will become the newest member of the Practice’s Voice & Swallowing Center, a sub-division consisting of all seven of ENTA’s world class laryngologists.
Salvatore Taliercio, MD earned his undergraduate degree from Washington University in St. Louis, MO and went on to receive his Medical Degree from Albany Medical College in Albany, NY. He completed his Residency in Otolaryngology/Head and Neck Surgery at Eastern Virginia Medical School and his Fellowship in Laryngology at the NYU Voice Center/New York University School of Medicine in NYC. He has authored numerous publications including recent reviews of steroid use in Laryngology and treatment methods of laryngotracheal stenosis. His current research interests include correlation of stroboscopy with objective measures of voice.
Dr. Taliercio will obtain surgical privileges at Phelps Memorial Hospital in Sleepy Hollow, NY.
In ENTA’s Sleepy Hollow location, Dr. Taliercio will join Otolaryngologists Michael Bergstein, MD, FACS; Jill Zeitlin, MD; and Allergist/Immunologist John County, MD, FAAAAI. Working alongside the physicians are Audiologists Jessica Comparetto, MA and Evmorfia Tzanis, MA.
