Orlando, Florida (PRWEB) June 12, 2014
Impiger Mobile announced it has developed and will be demonstrating a mobile WebRTC social shopping application developed for Toy Genius, a children’s retailer, and powered by GENBAND’s SPiDR WebRTC gateway. The application is being demonstrated on Samsung smartphones and tablets, alongside a second web application also enhanced with real time communications features.
Impiger is exhibiting at GENBAND’s Perspectives 14 annual conference, where over 700 top decision makers from the global communications industry are gathering to exchange ideas on the most innovative technologies and solutions emerging today.
“We’re delighted to be part of GENBAND’s ecosystem and this event,” said Jude Ramayya, founder and CEO of Impiger Mobile. “Our team has been working together with GENBAND’s developers, leveraging their WebRTC SDK for Real Time Communication embedded within the native application to create quality mobile experiences. It’s been a pleasure working also with the visionary team at Toy Genius, who are inventing new ways to help consumers discover, buy and enjoy unique, fun toys.”
The demonstration includes a web-based application, co-developed by TriMil Consulting using GENBAND’s WebRTC API, which enables an online shopper to connect with a “Toy Tech” with a simple touch or click.
“WebRTC has the potential to change everything, including dramatically improving the shopping experience by connecting an expert with consumers who can help recommend products, and take them through the point-of-sale, including selecting the wrapping paper and card and shipping the product with a personal note,” said Jeff Singman, founder and principal of TriMil Consulting.
Maria Singman, founder of Toy Genius, added, “Our success has been based on making the shopping experience Fun and Enjoyable– With so many amazing new toys, games and learning solutions coming onto the market, matching the right gift for the right child can be challenging. These two new web and mobile applications personalize our interactions and differentiate our brand.”
GENBAND’s SPiDR gateway bridges the worlds of telco and web, fixed and mobile, supporting sessions that can be initiated from any IP enabled endpoint with a compatible browser.
“It’s been great working with this team,” said Brad Bush, CMO, GENBAND. “WebRTC is a fusion of technology and creativity. Solutions that make human communications easier, more intuitive, and more immediate are demanded by end users. Developers who want their applications to scale need to go beyond basic peer to peer WebRTC and consider the entire platform supporting their development. We are beyond the incubator stage now – we are now in the moment of Real World WebRTC deployments being created by creative companies like Impiger Mobile.”
