The Kenkou Group Lends A Hand To The Arts
June 2014, New York, NY (PRWEB) June 12, 2014 -- Every day the experts at The Kenkou Group, LLC build bridges of support for their patients. Recently The Kenkou Group has created a bridge in support of the arts.
Chief Executive Officer, Shenekia Loud believes the arts provide a voice that is essential to the soul and continuance of humanity. In March she attended Urban Hydrant’s Spring Short Play Festival, an equity theater group serving the community of the Bronx, and was struck by a one act play titled The Outing. When she discovered that the play had been accepted into Manhattan Repertory Theater’s Summerfest 2014 but the playwright couldn’t afford the fees to enter the festival, Loud immediately assumed the responsibility to fund the play. “I support and love the Art and Entertainment industry. I have great admiration for those that are able to be a voice of change creatively,” Loud stated. “This play touches on issues that are important to The Kenkou Group – acceptance, family, community and awareness of one’s health. Through art, individuals can honestly address subjects that affect us all, which can facilitate a dialogue that can lead to change. I think this play has the capability to do that.”
Along with being one of the elite concierge healthcare agencies in New York City, The Kenkou Group can now add producer to their list of achievements. Executive Management will be front and center when The Outing makes its NYC debut at Manhattan Repertory Theater’s Summerfest 2014, located at 303 West 42nd Street. The festival runs from June 18th through June 21st, tickets are available at mrtreserve(at)gmail(dot)com.
