ChemicalInfo Partners with PIERS to Deliver Bulk Chemical and API Shipments Data to its Subscribers
Newark, N.J. and Dallas, TX (PRWEB) June 11, 2014 -- PIERS, The Standard in Trade Intelligence, has been selected by ChemicalInfo, to deliver a customized solution that will provide immediate and actionable insight into bulk shipments of chemical products around the world.
Today ChemicalInfo subscribers have access to contact and product information for over 12,000 producers around the globe. With the addition of PIERS trade data, ChemicalInfo subscribers can view import and exports shipments collected from over 17,000,000 waterborne bills of lading filed with U.S. Customs each year (including 4,000,000 export bills of lading). This powerful combination will allow subscribers to access company specific details on import and export shipments, including weight and estimated value, equipping them with the information needed to make informed sourcing decisions.
“By incorporating PIERS trade data into our offering, our subscribers can identify trends based on a company’s specific commodities shipments and apply that knowledge to their decision making,” said Ernie Cote, Chief Executive Officer, ChemicalInfo. “We are very pleased to be partnering with PIERS, the undeniable leader in Trade Intelligence; this a big win for our subscribers.”
While other data providers have begun publishing a subset of only containerized U.S. exports, PIERS remains the only provider with complete export transactions for all waterborne shipments (including bulk shipments) going back to 1977. Their unique infrastructure, which includes onsite security cleared staff at major U.S. ports, allows them to scan and process bills of lading not filed electronically.
“As the market leader in providing complete, timely and accurate trade intelligence, PIERS is in a unique position to partner with other industry leading data providers like ChemicalInfo to deliver increased value to their subscribers looking for a comprehensive view of their market,” said Wael Jarous, Senior Vice President, PIERS. “PIERS has been providing actionable trade intelligence to the top players in the chemical industry for over 35 years and we’re very excited to further extend our reach in this market, which really embraces data-driven decision making.”
Kelli Caperton, Product Analyst at ChemicalInfo, had the vision for the impact this combined dataset would bring to ChemicalInfo subscribers and led the partnership to fruition. “This is the perfect offering to enable ChemicalInfo customers to continue to make insightful, data-driven purchasing decisions,” said Caperton.
