Fayetteville Free Library Teams Up With Webucator to Offer Training to Members
Fayetteville, New York (PRWEB) June 12, 2014 -- The Fayetteville Free Library has joined forces with Webucator, a national training company headquartered in Fayetteville, to offer free technology and business skills training to its members. The courses, which are offered online and are self-paced, can be taken at the FFL or from members’ homes.
Courses offered include Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint, Outlook, Project), Adobe (Photoshop), web development technologies (HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, PHP, more), mobile web and mobile app development (Objective-C and iOS), SQL, XML and much more.
To access courses, FFL members simply have to ask their librarian for a voucher code which will enable the member to enroll in the course for free. The member then has 12 months to complete the course.
“We are very excited about this new workforce development partnership with Webucator. All FFL community members now have access to resources to make their lives better, including Microsoft Office certification training programs, website development courses, mobile development courses, and much more. We expect these courses to appeal to community members who wish to strengthen their resumes and to learn new technologies for personal and business use,” said Sue Considine, Executive Director of the Fayetteville Free Library.
“We are excited to make our courses available to members of the Fayetteville Free Library. One of our corporate goals is to support our local communities by enhancing workforce development opportunities for everyone. And we hope this pilot program right here in Central New York becomes a national model,” said Dave Dunn, Webucator’s CEO.
