Digital identity solution-provider ID.me today announced that the company has been named a finalist for Rakuten Linkshare’s 2014 Golden Link Awards in the Advertiser’s Choice category.
Each year, the Golden Link Awards recognize the most successful and innovative advertisers and publishers in the Rakuten Linkshare network. The Advertiser's Choice Award is presented to the publisher that has demonstrated strong growth and impressive results for retailers and brands as selected by the Rakuten LinkShare advertiser community. The winners will be announced at an award ceremony on June 25 at the Edison Ballroom in New York City.
Founded by two Army Rangers, ID.me is a digital identity network that enables brands to securely offer exclusive promotions to specific communities by verifying the consumer’s group affiliation. Previously, retailers had no way to offer special discounts online for groups such as military, first responders and students, as there was no widely adopted solution where brands could easily see if a consumer was eligible for a particular promotion.
Brands like Under Armour have long offered active-duty and retired military personnel a 10 percent discount in its stores, but were unable to do the same online because they lacked a way to authenticate the buyer. Since implementing ID.me and offering discounts to both military and first responders, Under Armour has seen more than 30 percent revenue growth for the affiliate program.
“We are honored to be a recognized among leading publishers for the Golden Link Awards,” said ID.me CEO and co-founder, Blake Hall. “Rakuten Linkshare is a top affiliate marketing network and their recognition is a testament to ID.me’s continued growth among retailers and notable results for brands.”
