IBTS Local Government Solutions Manager, Greg Blount, Invited to Participate in Panel at ICMA 100th Annual Conference
Ashburn, VA (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- The International City/County Management Association (ICMA) will host their annual conference in September 2014 in Charlotte, North Carolina. This year, the conference will celebrate 100 years, with additional focus on planning for the next 100 years along with an emphasis on small community issues, urban management issues, personal leadership and new trends and challenges in public administration.
Greg Blount, Local Government Solutions Manager at the Institute for Building Technology and Safety (IBTS) has been invited to participate in a panel which will take a look at Councils of Government (COGs) and the role they can play in working across municipal boundaries to utilize a regional approach to municipal services. Mr. Blount will be joined on the panel by Lyle Wray, Executive Director of the Capitol Region Council of Governments and Gciniwe Fakudze, from the South African Local Government Association. The panel will be moderated by Jennifer March-Wackers, Municipal Services Manager from the Capitol Region Council of Governments.
