Cherry Hill, N.J. (PRWEB) June 11, 2014 -- NFI, a leading supply chain company headquartered in Cherry Hill, New Jersey, is proud to announce NFI Park at Florence Crossings was awarded the Industrial Deal of the Year Award by the NJ Chapter of NAIOP, the leading commercial Real Estate Development Association.
NFI Park at Florence Crossings is a business park totaling 1.6 million square feet of development opportunity conveniently located a half-mile from Exit 6 on the NJ Turnpike at the crossroads of the PA Turnpike. The Industrial Deal of the Year Award specifically recognized two build-to-suit projects developed by NFI on behalf of Subaru of America and Express Scripts Holding Company. The two buildings, which total almost 765,000 square feet, offer expansion opportunities for each tenant and will create approximately 750 full time jobs and result in nearly 675 construction-related jobs.
“We are excited to receive the prestigious Deal of the Year Award, and would like to thank the NJ Chapter of NAIOP for this honor,” said NFI President and Vice Chairman Jeff Brown. “Two key players in the project, Florence Township and the New Jersey Economic Development Authority, helped make this concept a reality through an effective public/private partnership.”
Subaru of America was the first tenant with its 526,050 square foot Distribution and Training Center, which provides parts replenishment throughout the Northeast. Development on the second facility started shortly thereafter for the 238,738 square foot Express Scripts Pharmacy Fulfillment Center, a state-of-the-art pharmacy designed to bring unrivaled safety and accuracy to prescription drugs delivered to patients’ homes.
NFI surpassed industry benchmarks for delivery lead times while contributing significant environmental benefits. Subaru achieved LEED Silver Certification and is powered by a one-megawatt solar array on the roof. The Express Scripts facility is in the process of becoming LEED Certified.
“We would like to thank the entire team that worked with us on this project, but especially Subaru and Express Scripts for choosing to partner with NFI to develop two cutting-edge, world-class facilities. We are looking forward to developing the remaining portion of the Park and enhancing the economic growth of Florence Township and Burlington County,” said Brown.
Subaru of America and Express Scripts are named on the award, as well as the other partners of the project: CBRE, Arco Design Build, Ware Malcomb, Taylor Wiseman & Taylor, Wells Fargo, and NFI.
