The Gant Aspen Hotel

The Gant Hotel, Aspen Colorado

On June 14, The Gant, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, will debut the culmination of a 10-month, $5 million renovation and expansion effort of The Molly Campbell Conference Center. Celebrating 40 years of hospitality and meeting excellence, the conference center elevates the Aspen meeting experience with a suite of distinctive amenities and services, including a panoramic rooftop terrace, a new specialty café, expanded flexible indoor and outdoor floor plans, and contemporary new furnishings and accessories. The project artfully blends function, style and sustainability to create a multi-use mountain venue suitable for varied gatherings ranging from special events, weddings and private celebrations to corporate meetings, business retreats and incentive trips.

Inspired Views from Above
Situated at the base of Aspen Mountain on five acres of wildly plush terrain, the new 1,500-sq. ft. rooftop terrace infuses meetings and special events with 360-degrees of inspired panorama of the surrounding Elk Mountains. Ute Terrace 1, Ute Terrace 2 and an upper level pre-function area can be individually used or combined to accommodate functions ranging from 20-125 attendees. Outfitted with elegantly comfortable furnishings, artisan fire sculptures and native plant privacy walls, the rooftop terrace adds natural cachet to meetings and special events. With the addition of the new rooftop terrace, The Molly Campbell Conference Center will be Aspen’s only meeting space with panoramic rooftop views of the Rocky Mountains.

Pepperjack's Café Serves up Casual Fare On-Property
Situated on the first floor of the conference center overlooking the resort pool, the casually sophisticated Pepperjack's Café debuts this June, making The Gant, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, Aspen's first condominium resort with on-property food and beverage service. The menu will feature an assorted ensemble of hot and cold-breakfast and lunch dishes, beverages and coffees, such as smoothies, fresh fruit, pastries, daily breakfast burrito, signature salads, a daily Panini, soup and sandwiches. The menu will also include a variety of bottled beers, wines and signature cocktails. Resort and meeting guests can enjoy their food and beverages in the adjacent Aerie Lounge, outdoor seating area, poolside or take to go before or after a meeting. The restaurant will be open year round from 7am - 7pm with items ranging from $2 to $20.

Eco-friendly & Stylishly Functional
Elegantly interweaving function and style into an eco-friendly design, the new 5,500 sq. ft. center incorporates an earth-tone color palette, natural stone and sustainable building materials, native vegetation, energy-efficient lighting and a sustainable rooftop terrace. When designing the center, The Gant, by Destination Hotels & Resorts, took great care to select environmentally-friendly building materials to minimize its footprint. In place of real wood, the building's exterior siding will feature a durable, composite product made of rice husks, mineral oil and salt that visually replicates wood siding. Indoors, every element - from carpet and paint to upholstery - was carefully selected to minimize, if not completely eliminate, the presence of hazardous materials like Volatile Organic Compounds. Energy efficient lighting and a redesigned insulation system make the building more energy compliant by minimizing air leakage and energy consumption.

The redesigned main lobby of the conference center will feature a floor-to-ceiling glass wall entryway, native floral vignettes and a new local artist display. Through an assortment of new panel additions, entryways and area expansions, the split-level conference rooms will increase its indoor and outdoor floor plans by 40 percent to accommodate functions up to 200 attendees. For the business meeting, the redesign includes all new conference room tables and chairs for stylish comfort and function, and enhanced audio-video and lighting system. For special events, this project entails new banquet seating, a new ensemble of linens, glassware and silverware.
