Leveraging the Possibilities: You Can't Manage What You Don't Measure
Newtown, PA (PRWEB) June 13, 2014 -- The C12 Group helps Christian Business Owners and CEOs achieve God's best through executive peer forums, focused curriculum, and one-on-one coaching. Applying and tracking metrics and accountability in a business increases company performance and profitability and is the focus of this event.
The C12 Group of Philadelphia is hosting a unique, informative and relaxed event intended to challenge business owners to consider the untapped potential that exists in their business along with their own means of staying fresh. Among the business owners featured at the June 20 event will be Rich Speeney, owner of MRI Flexible Packaging.
“My first visit to a C12 Group meeting, even before becoming a member, gave me the leadership gut-check I needed,” says Rich. “We implemented new metrics the very next day. Within 9 months we went from bleeding cash to sizable monthly profits; all without increasing sales. The impact on performance and morale has thrilled all of us.” On his C12 membership, Rich adds, “My experience with C12 has exceeded any expectation that I had. I have been a member for 14 months now and I have not missed a single meeting during that time. Not bad considering my initial response to being asked to join the group was I could never afford to miss a full day of work every month.”
About the Event
The event will feature business owners/CEOs who will discuss how they've utilized the innovative ideas they've received from the roundtable advisory group to (re)focus the strategic direction of their company. Frank Ableson, president of navitend, inc., will join Rich at the podium to share the dramatic shift in perspective and business results since becoming one of the original members of C12 Philadelphia in 2008.
A leader of business units ranging in size from 100 to 30,000 employees, C12 President and CEO, Don Barefoot, will also be present to share from his experience improving performance in both turn-around and growth environments in automotive, consumer and industrial markets. Don brings a hands-on perspective to the challenges of progressive leaders who view themselves as stewards of the opportunities extended them in their calling in business as ambassadors for Christ.
The host of this event, Dave Shoemaker, is the Managing Chair for the C12 Group of Philadelphia. Prior to opening the C12 practice here Dave led multi-national technology companies for more than 30 years. Focusing on his areas of greatest joy and expertise – sales, marketing, strategy, assimilation, and performance – Dave has helped firms drive their value to a market leadership position. The advice he offers is based on real-world experience from all aspects of life, recognizing that everything affecting you potentially impacts your performance.
"The members of C12 believe we can change the world beginning with our companies and our communities," says Dave. "One of the ways we do that is through sharing our lessons and experience with peers in the marketplace. This event will highlight 1) the possibilities when an owner chooses to track the critical metrics of the business, and 2) the potential for a company that honors God by pursuing excellence in every aspect."
Tickets are only $79 and include lunch and an optional tour of the MRI Flexible Packaging operations.
