Yamaha’s NoteStar Keyboard App Now Features Classical Song Series and Hands-Free Sheet Music Page Turning
BUENA PARK, Calif. (PRWEB) June 12, 2014 -- Yamaha Music Interactive today announced another upgrade to its free NoteStar iPad app, which includes access to Lesson Collections, a new bundle of popular practice songs and exercises from the classical repertoire, and a pedal page-turn feature that enables digital sheet music to be advanced via foot pedal for uninterrupted performances. In addition, NoteStar can now stream the piano part to a compatible Yamaha keyboard using a wireless MIDI connection.
Yamaha’s NoteStar offers hands-free, scrolling sheet music in a variety of genres and in a range of formats from solo piano to live studio accompaniments with vocals. It is popular with professional musicians, teachers and students for giving piano and keyboard players easy digital access to sheet music and the experience of performing with a virtual band via backing tracks recorded by real musicians.
The new Lesson Collections include pieces from classical composers including Czerny, Beyer and Hannon. They are economically priced at $1.99 to $2.99 per bundle for compatible Yamaha keyboards, but available for free to owners of any Yamaha CLP-500 Series Clavinovas.
“NoteStar is the only sheet music reader app that allows you to play along with scrolling piano sheet music with synched live audio backgrounds and seamless interaction between the iPad and keyboard,” said Jason Nyberg, marketing manager, Yamaha Music Interactive, Inc. “This upgrade significantly adds to the dynamic and fun musical experiences of piano and keyboard players of all levels.”
The upgraded NoteStar app is available now as a free download at the iTunes Store.
