‘Babylon 5’ Star and Syndicated Radio Personality Jerry Doyle Announces EpicTimes.com Digital Network Expansion with Kickstarter Campaign
Las Vegas, Nevada (PRWEB) June 11, 2014 -- Jerry Doyle, host of the fifth largest syndicated talk show in America, “The Jerry Doyle Show,” today announced a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for the relaunch and expansion of his flagship website, Epictimes.com.
Money raised through this campaign will support the growth of EpicTimes.com, which is currently a news curation and aggregation site. The updated EpicTimes.com will be a one-stop shop for news-related audio and video content for the politically Independent “middle majority” that is currently underserved by the left- and right-leaning news media. The site will also feature podcasts of “The Jerry Doyle Show” as well as other well-known contributors.
“We are trying to create a news outlet that represents the real needs and interests of the American people, which is something that I am very passionate about,” said Doyle, who gained notoriety as the star of “Babylon 5,” the long running sci-fi show. “EpicTimes.com has always been a place where people can find the news and information they are looking for, not what the media thinks they want or need to hear. Expanding the site allows us to offer more information and give more power to the individual.”
To help with this expansion, Doyle has named Elaine Kunda CEO of EpicTimes.com. Kunda, a media industry veteran, served as CEO of women’s lifestyle digital network B5Media and has worked in various digital media companies since 1998. Kunda has already started working with the EpicTimes.com team to increase monthly unique visitors and create an ecosystem for the site using Doyle’s existing brand and social media presence.
“EpicTimes.com presents an exciting opportunity for me. To be involved basically from the ground floor and build a media network of this kind during a time of such frustration by the American people is exactly the kind of challenge I’ve been looking for,” Kunda said. “Jerry’s passion for this company, his fans and his listeners is infectious. I am looking forward to working with him to make EpicTimes.com a household name.”
Contributions to the EpicTimes.com campaign can earn backers “Babylon 5” memorabilia, including a Season 1 hat that flew on NASA’s Space Shuttle Columbia that is also signed by the entire Columbia crew or one of Doyle’s own 110 original series scripts. Supporters can even spend a “never forget” weekend with Doyle in Vegas.
With the support of contributions from this Kickstarter campaign, the new EpicTimes.com is scheduled to relaunch in September 2014.

About Jerry Doyle
A former investment banker, actor and radio personality, Jerry Doyle gained notoriety in the role of Michael Garibaldi on the Emmy Award-winning sci-fi television series “Babylon 5.” While taking a hiatus from acting in 2000, Doyle ran for the U.S. House of Representatives for California’s 24th District. Though he won the primary to become the Republican Congressional nominee for the seat, he lost in the November election. Running for office increased Doyle’s passion for politics and he launched “The Jerry Doyle Show,” a mix of politics, pop culture and current events shortly thereafter. Doyle currently balances his busy acting career in television and movies with his nationally syndicated radio career.
