Miami, FL (PRWEB) June 12, 2014

While Brazil might be out of reach for most, for as little as $20 soccer fans can see recent World Cup Players at Marlins Park, September 11 as Real Madrid and Barcelona go head-to-head in the inaugural Miami Legends Cup.

Tickets can be purchased online at http://www.miamilegendscup.com or by calling 1-800-967-9393.

Former world superstars and World Cup players Luis Figo, Fabio Cannavaro and Ronaldinho are just a few who are suiting up for this intense, one-time rivalry match.

Figo won 127 caps for the Portuguese national football team, making him the most capped Portuguese player in history. He was the 2000 European Footballer of the Year, the 2001 FIFA World Player of the Year and was named amongst the FIFA 100.

Cannavaro is considered one of the greatest defenders of all time and was given the name “Muro di Berlino” which means “The Berlin Wall” by Italian supporters. He led Italy to the 2006 FIFA World Cup and overtook Paolo Maldini as the most capped player in the country’s history.

Ronaldinho won the FIFA World Player of the Year award in 2004 and 2005. He was an integral part of the 2002 FIFA World Cup winning team, starring alongside Ronaldo and Rivaldo in an attacking trio and was named in the FIFA World Cup All-Star Team.

Rayco Garcia, a member of the International Department of Real Madrid CF, said if someone thinks this is an old timer’s game they are sorely mistaken. He also hinted at some more big names that will be joining this historic match.

“This is a very passionate rivalry and all of the players who are participating are still capable of world class performance in fact, many are still playing in other leagues,” stressed Garcia. “Ronaldinho is only 34 and both Figo and Cannavaro are 41, clearly legends not old timers.”

Ticket prices for the September 11th showdown start at $20 (group sales) with the most expensive $275 in both the Fiesta and Legends Suites which include food and beverage.

“Since the match is being played at the magnificent Marlins Park there is not a bad seat in the house,” said Michael Saks, Managing Partner of GroupNV which along with Global Gateway Business Services, LLC will manage all facets of the event. “This historic event has been affordably priced so that a family can see world class soccer without breaking the bank. It also affords the ultimate VIP experience.”

Real Madrid CF, Legends squad and the F.C. Barcelona Legends team are two of the top soccer teams in the world. Each is comprised of the greatest players of all time who hail from countries such as Spain, Brazil, Mexico and England.

The rivalry between these two teams goes back to the historical conflict between the cities of Madrid and Barcelona that erupted during the Spanish Civil War. To this day the rivalry engenders passion, fierce competitiveness and vigor amongst its players and global fan base.

Garcia, who is currently in South Florida with former Spain World Cup Player, Luis Garcia, former Real Madrid player, 29 year old Rubén de la Red, Real Madrid TV’s Isaac Recarey and Real Madrid Foundation’s Manuel Parreño, hinted that the organization is in talks with David Beckham and other superstars about participation in the match.

There will be several ancillary events including a celebrity-driven gala and golf tournament to be held at the Trump National Doral (on the world famous Blue Monster), official residence of the Miami Legends Cup as well as youth clinics and other community events that will feature players from both teams.

The organization said they are still finalizing specifics, final rosters, etc. and you can expect future announcements regarding this match in the coming weeks. For event information and updates go to http://www.miamilegendscup.com
