Judd's Hill Winery Offers Blending Kits That Give Wine Lovers the Chance to Create Their Own Personal Blend Wherever They May Be - Nationwide Shipping Available
(PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Hundreds of wine lovers have visited Judd's Hill Winery in Napa Valley over the years to take part in their Bottle Blending Day Camp (BBDC). Wine Enthusiast and Food and Wine Magazine have both featured the Judd's Hill BBDC as a wine country experience not to be missed. Now anyone can host their own blending adventure at home or give it as a gift to the wine lover who has everything.
Each blending kit contains one 750ml bottle of each of the following barrel sample wines: 2012 Rutherford Merlot, 2012 Napa Cabernet Franc, 2012 Rutherford Cabernet Sauvignon and 2012 Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignon. Also included are three 100ml graduated cylinders and a step by step user guide. Each kit can accommodate a group of 4 to 6 blenders (2 or 3 couples). The kit is packaged in a stylish, black, Judd's Hill box that is perfect for gifting.
The price of each Bottle Blending Day Camp Home Edition Kit is $199.99 plus applicable tax and shipping. The 2011 vintage kit is currently sold out, but new 2012 vintage kits will be available in September, just in time for the holiday season. The 2012 kits are available now on the Judd's Hill website for pre-orders.
Judd's Hill also offers large group blending sessions for Bay Area companies looking for a great team building experience. These sessions can take place at Judd's Hill Winery, or at any suitable meeting space in the Bay Area.
Once guests arrive, they will be split into teams of six to eight and the blending director will give a brief introduction and overview of the tasting, blending and judging process. Participants will then work with the members of their blending team, under the guidance of the expert blending staff, to create their "Master Blend" to submit for judging. While the judge assesses the different blends, guests will be treated to a tasting of several current release Judd's Hill wines.
The judge will give a short description of each blend submitted and declare a winning blend to be bottled and labeled at Judd's Hill and distributed to all participants. The entire process is completed in two action-packed hours of learning, tasting and competitive engagement!
