Independent Glass Association Announces Alliance with National Glass Exchange
Scottsdale, AZ (PRWEB) June 12, 2014 -- The Independent Glass Association today announced a groundbreaking strategic alliance with the National Glass Exchange (NGE) that is assured to change the automotive glass claims industry. NGE provides Windshield Protection Plans through insurance agencies. The IGA has been selected as the warranty claims service program coordinator through its technology license agreement with the eDirectGlass ClaimsVerse platform.
“This is a very exciting day for the automotive glass repair and replacement industry. As more insurance policy holders select higher comprehensive deductibles on their automobile policy, the number of insurance glass claims is decreasing thus driving a very competitive cash market,” said Gary Hart, IGA executive director. “The plans offered by NGE are an opportunity for independent glass retailers to participate in a program where they will receive fair and reasonable compensation for the work they perform on claims for these plans.”
“NGE has spent many years developing the relationships necessary to launch this plan. We are pleased to work with the IGA in bringing the next generation of automotive windshield claims to the entire industry, free of the encumbrances generally experienced in the traditional insurance claims process,” said Ken Keller, NGE president and chief executive officer.
NGE Windshield Protection Plans supplement existing auto insurance and provide for repair or replacement of the covered vehicle’s windshield. By utilizing Windshield Protection Plans, insurers can transfer claims cost, risk and fraud concerns, as well as the claims administration, to a third party, while maintaining a high level of customer care for their insured. Through the ClaimsVerse platform, claims against the Windshield Protection Plans will be managed and facilitated independent of any auto retailer, manufacturer, or network competitor; therefore, avoiding any conflicts of interest.
“The forward-thinking design of ClaimsVerse will provide a superb user experience for our Plan holders, while the data management and integration capabilities will exceed the expectations of insurance carriers who want to offer the plans,” continued Keller. “NGE and its partners are extremely confident that IGA member shops will provide the very best service to our plan holders. The customer is our top priority and that commitment is shared by the association and its members,” concluded Keller.
“Glass shops can easily integrate marketing the servicing of NGE Windshield Protection Plans in their current processes. Additionally, the IGA will be announcing new member programs that will provide additional benefits for being a preferred plan shop, including the IGA Certified Member Program,” concluded Hart.
