Courtyard Care Center Donates to the Khmer Parent Association Benefitting High School Graduates
Long Beach, CA (PRWEB) June 13, 2014 -- Courtyard Care Center, a skilled Nursing Facility located in Long Beach, California, donated $500 to support the Khmer Parent Association (KPA) for the 2014 South Asian Scholarship Award and Graduation Celebration. The donation supports 14 selected South Asian high school graduates who received awards ranging from $500 to $1,000 to assist them as they begin their collegiate endeavors in the fall. KPA’s Graduation Celebration took place on Saturday, June 7th, 2014, at the St. Mary Medical Center with 200 parents, siblings, community members, volunteers, and distinguished guests in attendance.
Dr. Visal Nga, Courtyard Care Center’s Quality Assurance Physician, was one of the distinguished guests in attendance. Also in attendance are Courtyard Care’s Medical Director, Dr. Vannarith So and Administrator, Julie Javier.
“We are grateful to be connected to the South East Asian community and the KPA through some of the community's prominent leaders. It brings us joy knowing that Courtyard Care Center was able to benefit these scholarship recipients,” said Javier.
