Tomatina Is Celebrating the Opening of a New San Jose Location; Giving Away 100 Three-Course Meals with the 99.7 NOW Morning Show
San Jose, California (PRWEB) June 13, 2014 -- Tomatina, a casual, chef-inspired Italian restaurant, is celebrating it’s sixth location on June 24 from 5-7pm at the West Valley Shopping Center (5245 Prospect Road and Saratoga Avenue) in San Jose, California. Tomatina will be giving away three-course, fresh Italian meals to the first 100 guests to arrive.
For the opening party, Tomatina will be hosting Greg from the 99.7 NOW Morning Show, who will be playing music on-site and allowing attendees to register for a key that may start one of three 99.7 NOW 2014 FIAT 500c Cabrios. Beginning Wednesday, June 25, Tomatina San Jose will be open to the public for regular business hours.
Tomatina will be hosting 3 days of soft-opening events and will be donating 100% of alcohol sales to Prospect High School’s annual Make-A-Wish Rally, an event where students in need are granted wishes including new laptops, clothing, bicycles and school supplies. Tomatina is committed to supporting the community at all its locations through the “Donate Back” program, hosting events for local non-profits and donating 15% of sales generated from their supporters.
Mark Nicandri, Senior Vice President of Operations at Tomatina, is thrilled to join the San Jose community. “Over the years, we have had many requests from loyal customers to open a location in San Jose, and we are especially excited to partner with Prospect High School and to support their Make-A-Wish Rally.”
Tomatina takes a modern approach to traditional Italian recipes. While their pasta with made-from-scratch sauces and home-made pizza are customer favorites, Tomatina has become known for our signature piadines – fresh, hot flat-bread topped with cool salads, ready to fold and eat. Executive Chef Rogelio Jacinto will be working with San Jose Chef Jaime Hernandez to bring diners new, seasonal specials each month, as well as our extensive menu with gluten-free, vegetarian and kid-friendly options.
“Our customers appreciate that our food is made to order with fresh ingredients. And we are proud that each restaurant has a full-time chef on staff to ensure a great meal every time you dine with us,” says Nicandri.
San Jose will feature a full bar serving signature and classic cocktails with an extensive selection of Italian and California wines.
