Announcement: GuitarControl.com Releases “How to Play 'Green Onions' by Booker T & the M G’s - Blues Guitar Lesson”
(PRWEB) June 12, 2014 -- “One of the things I just love about this track is that it just grooves so hard,” says MacLennan, “it’s a great tune to practice to work on your feel.” Jon demonstrates how to play this riff as follows; first fret of the first string with first finger three times as down down up counted as a triplet to the 4th fret with 4th finger to the first fret of the 5th string with first finger. Next, Jon simply repeats this riff a perfect fourth higher by playing it based on the 5th and 4th strings. Next, Jon moves to the five chord by playing starting on the 5th fret of the 5th string with first finger to the 6th fret with 4th finger to the 5th fret of the 4th string with first finger and then back to the second position and finally ending back in the first position.
