"Our oceans are our most valuable, and treasured resource. The underwater world is magical, and filled with possibilities. For a painter, the ocean is a perfect arena to explore color, texture, movement, and light."

SAN DIEGO, CA (PRWEB) June 14, 2014

Initially invited to the show as a selected "Feature Artist" to exhibit her vibrant Waterscapes, artist Robin Raznick was awarded first place in painting at the Beverly Hills artShow 2014. The award was presented by Mayor Lili Bosse. The Beverly Hills artSHOW takes place annually across four blocks of historic Beverly Gardens Park in the heart of Beverly Hills. The Art Show partnered with the Los Angeles Art Association, and additional galleries to bring special installations to the show. The exhibit included a unique photography display which celebrated the 100th Anniversary of the city of Beverly Hills. A crowd comprised of 50,000 local residents, art lovers, art dealers, celebrities and visitors attended the show. http://www.beverlyhills.org/exploring/beverlyhillsartshow/artshowarchive/awardwinnersmay2014/

Robin Raznick grew up on the beaches of Los Angeles. She currently resides in San Diego, and is a member of "I Am Eco Warrior", and "Coral Alliance”. Robin is fascinated by the sea, and is compelled by this subject matter in her work. "Coral reefs oxygenate our air, and are teaming with biodiversity. Our oceans are our most valuable, and treasured resource. The underwater world is magical, and filled with possibilities. For a painter, the ocean is a perfect arena to explore color, texture, movement and light. I was delighted to be able to share my point of view, and participate in the show as selected “Feature Artist”. I am truly honored to have been the recipient of First Place in Painting. It’s my hope that this win might draw a bit of attention and sensitivity to conservation issues surrounding our waters." In addition to her studio work, Robin currently teaches sculpture at Oceanside High School in California. She mentors her students in Fine Arts, and Environmental Awareness.

Recently, Robin Raznick has been invited to show her work at The Malibu, and La Jolla Arts Festivals. The Malibu show is known worldwide for incredible high-end art, music, workshops and delicious cuisines. The two-day weekend affair will take place July 26-27, from 10 am to 6 pm, in front of the Malibu Civic center: 23555 Civic Center Way; Malibu, CA 90265
