Attorney Juan L. Guerra, Jr. Selected for Inclusion in Texas Super Lawyers® List for 2014
El Paso, TX (PRWEB) June 12, 2014 -- Guerra & Farah, PLLC is pleased to announce that Juan L. Guerra, Jr., one of the law firm’s partners, has been included in the 2014 Texas Super Lawyers® list. According to the website of Super Lawyers® Magazine, no more than 5% of attorneys within each state are selected for the Super Lawyers® listing. The annual list includes attorneys who are deemed by their professional peers and by the magazine’s research team to be the most outstanding lawyers in their fields and geographic areas. Attorney Guerra has more than a decade of experience practicing law throughout the state of Texas.
The Super Lawyers® selection process involves three key components: independent research, peer nomination and peer evaluations, according to the magazine’s website. The candidates are nominated by other lawyers who have actually seen them in action. Once the nominee pool is established, the lawyers who are being considered are evaluated by both the Super Lawyers® Magazine research department and by “blue ribbon review” panels of distinguished attorneys from similar legal fields.
The research team assesses the candidates by scoring them in 12 areas that are meant to measure the lawyers’ professional achievements and levels of peer recognition. Next, the other attorneys on the blue ribbon review panels rate the candidates on a scale of 1 to 10. The scores from both evaluation stages determine who will be included in the final listing.
Attorney Guerra graduated from Thurgood Marshall School of Law in 2003 and immediately started working as a criminal defense attorney.
