Microchip Technology Signs Equalis Embedded Coder Reseller Agreement
San Jose, CA (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- Equalis, the leading provider of numerical analysis, visualization and simulation solutions for engineers and scientists, built on open source, today announced that Microchip Technology, a leading provider of microcontroller, mixed-signal, analog and Flash-IP solutions, has signed a reseller agreement to provide Equalis’ Embedded Coder as a powerful, low cost solution for Microchip devices and boards. Equalis Embedded Coder allows engineers to experience huge productivity gains in developing both real-time and non-real time embedded software for Microchip devices, particularly in activities such as rapid prototyping, simulation, and hardware-in-the-loop testing.
Equalis Embedded Coder generates C code for Microchip hardware targets from a block-diagram representation of a control algorithm, and compiles it automatically using Microchip’s MPLAB® XC compilers. It supports all of Microchip’s PIC24 Microcontrollers and dsPIC33 Digital Signal Controllers, and seamlessly integrates with Microchip’s MPLAB X Integrated Development Environment. Also offered in this agreement is a special version of Equalis Embedded Coder for Microstick, which supports code generation for Microchip’s Microstick Development Kits; a series of easy to use, low-cost development platforms that are ideal for learning embedded programming and rapid prototyping.
Equalis provides a suite of modules and complete support through its Equalis Pro Plus subscription programs, which cost 90% less than equivalent software applications. Training, deployment and consulting services are also available for complete support. Equalis Pro Plus includes: Communication Systems, Connectivity, Control and Power Systems, Fixed Point, Image and Video Processing, Instrument Control, Neural Networks, Parallelization, Signal Processing, Statistics, and much more.
Equalis Pro Plus is only $995 per user. The Microchip-Exclusive Equalis Embedded Coder Bundle, including Pro Plus, is available for $2,990 per user. Equalis Embedded Coder for Microstick is available for only $149. All products are available now for download, and include one year of technical support from Equalis.
“We are excited to enhance our partnership with Microchip Technology by further supporting their customers’ development activities,” said Neil Mitchell, CEO of Equalis. “We look forward to our continued mutual success.”
“The powerful Equalis Embedded Coder software application and its low price point provide an excellent solution that enables our customers to optimize their product development,” said Derek Carlson, Microchip’s vice president of Development Tools. “Equalis is a trusted partner, and we are excited to expand our relationship with this agreement.”
