The book is published on AFM’s website in PDF format for easy download and sharing. Club founders Igor and Irina Chirashnya have written this book and made it available to help parents all over the country to support their children in the pursuit of fencing. This parents' guide covers the basics of fencing, what to expect at fencing competitions, and the equipment needed.
According to AFM founder, Irina Chirashnya, “We’re parents too, and we know how important our support is to our children’s success. At AFM, we strongly value the parent’s role and we actively partner with parents to create a system of support for our athletes. Now we can reach parents all over the country by providing this essential resource.”
AFM conducts parent orientations several teams a year to provide this information to parents. After watching the success of the orientation sessions, they’ve now consolidated all of this introductory information into one resource with simplified language and a specific focus on what new parents need to know.
The book is available for download from the AFM website at http://AcademyOfFencingMasters.com/parents-guide-to-fencing/.
