Paladin Data Systems Announces Highland Beach, Florida as Newest SMARTGov Customer
Poulsbo, WA (PRWEB) June 24, 2014 -- Paladin Data Systems Corporation announced the Town of Highland Beach, Florida today as its newest customer for SMARTGov, Paladin’s community development software that manages the full lifecycle of any permit, inspection, license, or code enforcement action for jurisdictions.
Paladin will implement its cloud based technology at Town of Highland Beach to track all aspects of zoning and codes including permit issuance, inspections, and code enforcement, and all recurring licenses. The city will be transitioning from Black Bear’s PTWin software to the cloud based features of SMARTGov.
"It was great that our engineering team was able to recover 100% of Highland Beach's permitting data after a PTWin system failure. PTWin uses a Paradox database and has been unsupported since December of 2010 when the company (Black Bear) went out of business. Fortunately, SMARTGov's engineering team has worked with over 40 PTWin customers and were able to recover all of the City's lost data. We are thrilled to partner with Highland Beach in deploying SMARTGov via our cloud hosted solution and we look forward to a long-term relationship," Jon Byrd, Paladin Sales Executive.
The Town of Highland Beach is the first client to convert from the SMARTGov 30-Day Trial Program which began May 13. With the trial, organizations have a fully-functioning system using pre-developed data that can be manipulated to experience the robust feature set of SMARTGov software at no charge to help jurisdictions more easily evaluate how this technology can create value for their city or county.
The Town of Highland Beach is located in the southern portion of eastern Palm Beach County, which is in the southeastern part of the State of Florida. The Town encompasses 1.1 total square miles with the Atlantic Ocean adjacent to the Town on the east and the Intracoastal Waterway to the west.
Highland Beach is a residential community with a year-round population of 4,150 which increases to approximately 8,500 during the winter months by residents who list their northern homes as their official place of residence. Residents are composed of approximately 80% retirees and 20% persons employed or engaged in business enterprises in Palm Beach and Broward Counties.
