Drake Smith Joins SecureRF as VP of Development
Shelton, CT (PRWEB) June 16, 2014 -- SecureRF Corporation, a provider of identification, authentication, and data protection technology for the Internet of Things (IoT) announces that Drake Smith joined the company as its new Vice President of Development.
Mr. Smith is an industry veteran with over 30 years of experience managing the development of technology products and services. He was formerly CTO for the National Captioning Institute (NCI) and President and COO for ULTECH Corporation, a broadcast technology company he founded in 1991 and sold to NCI in 2002.
“Drake’s broad development experience with embedded software and low powered computing platforms makes him a great addition to our team,” said Louis Parks, SecureRF’s CEO. “He will be responsible for ongoing development and delivery of our secure sensor LIME Tag™ and Veridify®, our NFC-based anti-counterfeiting solution.”
Previously, Mr. Smith was an Applications Engineer and Technical Services Manager for ITT Semiconductors where he was responsible for the design and development of integrated circuits. Mr. Smith holds a Bachelor of Engineering degree from the University of Lowell, and a Masters of Software Engineering degree from Brandeis University.
