Southlake, Texas (PRWEB) June 15, 2014
In honor of June being “National Safety Month,” the National Floor Safety Institute has chosen to promote slip, trip, and fall prevention with the first ever “Fall Prevention Day” on June 24.
To go along with the promotion of this day, the NFSI has selected State Farm Insurance Company to receive the first annual “Safe Floors America” award for an outstanding effort in demonstrating slip, trip, and fall prevention within their own facilities.
State Farm Insurance Company has been an active member of the NFSI Board of Directors and continues to donate resources to the NFSI training courses. For these reasons the NFSI has named State Farm Insurance Company as the inaugural Safe Floors America award recipient.
June 24th not only serves as Fall Prevention Day, but also the "NFSI Day of Giving."
Donations from those wishing to support the mission of slip, trip, and fall prevention make it possible for the NFSI to continue pushing for more awareness and safety driven prevention of slips, trips, and falls. The NFSI encourages all safety professionals to promote Fall Prevention Day and remember the individuals who suffer life-changing injuries, or even lost their life as a result of poor prevention.
