AC Self Storage Solutions CEO Joins Charity Storage Board
Newport Beach, CA (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- Charity Storage, a not-for-profit foundation that raises money for charitable causes has offered a board seat to Troy Downing, Chief Executive Officer of AC Self Storage Solutions (“AC Self Storage”). AC Self Storage is a National owner, operator, and manager of Self Storage commercial real Estate.
Downing has been a long-time supporter, funder, advisor, and volunteer of many charitable organizations supporting everything from US Veteran issues, Education, and medical research. Most notably, Downing is a volunteer and supporter for Warriors and Quiet Waters Foundation, a Montana based foundation that offers therapeutic recreational programs for US Veterans who were injured in recent conflicts including OEF and OIF.
Charity Storage is an organization that raises money through donated items that are auctioned off at normally scheduled lien auctions at Self Storage facilities. The facilities involved with the program donate a storage unit. Facility customers and local community members donate items to fill the unit. The proceeds from the sale of the donated items are donated to charities selected by the local owner/operator after being auctioned off during normally scheduled lien sales.
Part of the proceeds support KureIt which gives valuable support in the search for a cure for kidney cancer. The facility owner can choose a charity of their choice for the remaining funds raised in the program.
