Today marks the beginning of Energypath 2014, Pennsylvania’s largest sustainable energy conference, held through Friday, June 20, at Albright College. Through the generosity of Sustainable Energy Fund of Allentown, PA, over two hundred scholarships were awarded to college students, professors and secondary educators to attend the week-long educational event.

Energy Camps combine hands-on and classroom training in solar photovoltaic, micro hydro and biomass technologies; an introduction to sustainable energy; and energy efficiency. Activities include construction of a 3kW solar array, tours of regional biomass facilities and a micro hydro stream study.

Additional Energypath 2014 Events include:

  • Conference and Expo (June 19 to 20) featuring more than 50 speakers presenting on a wide range of sustainable energy topics focusing on economic, technical, political and social issues and exhibitors sharing the latest developments in the sustainable energy industry.
  • Science Fair (June 20) for middle school and high school students.

The theme of Energypath 2014 is Convergence: How the interaction between energy producing, conversion, and management technologies is changing the energy industry and can provide safe, affordable, reliable and sustainable energy.

Tickets to the conference are $99 and keynote dinner tickets are $39 and help support scholarships for college students to pre-conference Energy Camps. For tickets and more information visit:
