Durham, NC (PRWEB) June 18, 2014
In need of additional space after doubling in size, Automated Insights (Ai), an artificial intelligence company, is settling in to a new office at American Tobacco Campus overlooking the Durham Bulls Athletic Park. The move exemplifies Durham’s magnetism for technology companies after urban revitalization turned tobacco warehouses into vibrant spaces for dining, working, and living.
The new space offers Ai employees, family, and friends a sweeping view of Durham Bulls baseball games. There’s plenty of space for ping pong, foosball, and adding new employees.
“Our client list and our employee headcount has doubled over the past year,” said CEO Robbie Allen. “We’re ecstatic about our new space, but our first priority was to keep up with our growth.”
Adam Smith, Vice President of Sales and Marketing, is confident that the new location will will help attract high-quality hires, “We’ve got baseball. We’re steps from great restaurants in the heart of downtown Durham. And we’ve got recreation - our employees recently brought home the championship trophy in an American Tobacco campus dodgeball tournament.”
The move comes shortly after the company participated in the Google for Entrepreneurs Demo Day, launched its Wordsmith for Marketing product, and received an investment commitment from AOL co-founder Steve Case.
Michael Goodmon, vice president of real estate for Capitol Broadcasting Company, praised Automated Insight’s energy and success: “From its trip to Silicon Valley for Google Demo Day with the American Underground to the smart people it attracts to our campus, Automated Insights exemplifies the innovative high growth company that brings American Tobacco and the region’s entrepreneurial ecosystem to life.”
Despite the company’s recent success, Allen isn’t resting on past accomplishments.
“We’ve been named one of the Best Places to Work in Raleigh-Durham twice in a row. Moving to our new office reaffirms our commitment to our employees as we keep innovating, growing, and pushing the limits of what automated content can do.”
