AIGS to Attend NCMS 50th Annual Training Seminar
Washington, DC (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- This week, representatives of Andrews International Government Services (AIGS) join officials from the nation’s foremost security agencies in National Harbor, Maryland for the NCMS 50th Annual Training Seminar. NCMS, the Society of Industrial Security Professionals, is holding this year’s Training Seminar June 16th-18th at the Gaylord National Resort & Convention Center, overlooking the Potomac River eight miles south of Washington, D.C. Key security company personnel from AIGS are attending training sessions side by side with colleagues from security intelligence organizations, national affairs agencies, and fellow government contractors.
The NCMS Annual Training Seminar promotes and facilitates partnerships between national security agencies, contract security services companies, and digital and investigative security solution providers. Scheduled workshops explore subject areas relevant to national and private security, including professional growth, international programs, security clearance, cybersecurity and information security, security application tools, and Facility Security Officer responsibilities and regulations.
Training Seminar participants can take advantage of further opportunities for professional development through networking events and educational outings. Guests are invited to dine with senior security officials at the President’s Dinner, tour the National Archives after hours, or participate in private guided tours of the capital’s historic landmarks.
Each year, NCMS and its chapters make a donation to an organization that supports men and women in the nation’s Armed Forces. America’s VetDogs is the official charity of the 2014 NCMS Training Seminar. America’s VetDogs is a non-profit organization that provides assistance dogs to disabled veterans. In 2014, NCMS also continues its support of the Wounded Warrior Project (WWP). WWP provides rehabilitation services and support for injured service members making the transition back to civilian life.
AIGS Business Development Manager Cyndy Perez values the specialty focus of the seminar workshops and discussions. “For those protecting our nation’s security infrastructure, keeping in step with changes and developments in training requirements and advancements is essential. The NCMS Training Seminar provides unique learning opportunities that shape the development of the industrial security professionals who influence national security.”
