Sheet Music Plus Announces Its First Digital Print Publishing Contest
Emeryville, CA (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Sheet Music Plus, the world’s leading online sheet music retailer with over 900,000 available titles, announces a contest for users of its Digital Print Publishing program. The Digital Print Publishing program, which is free to join and easy to use, allows users to upload and sell PDFs of their music through the site, where they can include audio samples, enter important marketing information, and set their price. Works uploaded between June 11, 2014, 9:00am PST, and June 22, 2014, 11:59pm PST, will automatically be entered in the contest, where they will be judged and awarded in three categories:
1. Best-selling new upload ($300 award and promotional highlight)
2. Highest cumulative sales for new uploads ($100 award)
3. Editor’s pick for best new upload ($100 award)
Digital Print Publishing aims to radically change the face of sheet music publishing by allowing a wide variety of new music to be distributed–including offerings from exciting new composers, fresh arrangements of popular pieces, and unpublished works for individuals and orchestras. Participants in the program have collectively earned almost $70,000, with the highest users earning nearly $10,000 each. Top earner Kate Agioritis has called Digital Print Publishing “by far the best platform I have used to market my music.”
