San Diego Event Brings Together Entrepreneurs to Benefit Girls Inc.
San Diego, CA (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Girls Incorporated of San Diego County, staying true to their mission to empower girls and women, is holding a powerful seminar for female business owners. “Wine, Women & Wisdom: An Evening of Entrepreneurial Growth & Connections” will be held on Thursday, June 26th from 6pm - 8pm.
The event will be held at the elegant Rancho Bernardo Inn, will bring together more than 200 professional women to share business secrets and resources in the name of future success. Wine, appetizers, a raffle and a keynote talk by Stephanie Burns, CEO of ‘ChicCEO’. Preregistration is required and Girl’s Inc has been thrilled to experience a large volume of interest and early registrants. The cost is $25 with optional $15 donation.
All proceeds benefit Girls Inc. of San Diego County. Dara Cerwonka, Executive Director says, “Our girls rely on the support of our programming and we in turn rely on the community support we receive. This event is a chance for women to enjoy an evening of learning and networking, while knowing the funds will be used to prepare the next generation of girls to be strong, smart and bold. Only $300 covers the cost of a full semester of programming for one girl – that’s pretty amazing. This event alone will help us put more girls through the program.”
Girls Inc. of San Diego is launching their Women’s Speaker Series with this as their inaugural event. The organization was thrilled to have the participation of Stephanie Burns. Ms. Burns is the founder and CEO of Chic CEO, an online resource for female entrepreneurs - bringing how-to information, tools and community to women starting businesses. Just 6 months after launch, Chic CEO was named as one of the Top 10 Entrepreneurial Websites for Women by Forbes and every year thereafter, as well as features in Inc., The Wall Street Journal, Fox Business, Amex Open among others.
