TV star and entrepreneur Valerie Bertinelli’s vision for an easy-to-use customer loyalty and rewards mobile app has officially launched. Veebo puts discounts, rewards and promotions into the hands of consumers and brings shoppers to merchants’ doors and websites.

Bertinelli is the inspiration and chief spokesperson for Veebo as well as a co-owner of the Mesa-based company. Award-winning Arizona businesswoman Raena Janes, who heads one of the state’s fastest growing charter school systems, is Veebo’s CEO.

According to research, digital coupon users made 25 percent more trips to the store on average than all shoppers and they spent an average of 13 percent more per trip. Recent data released by Google shows 43 percent of American smart phone owners use their mobile device to make a purchase at least twice a week. About 11 percent use their mobile device to make a purchase every day. Total mobile purchases, including tablets, totaled more than $25 billion in 2013, which was a 64 percent increase over 2012. Mobile commerce experts predict that mobile commerce will continue to climb for the foreseeable future. At least 70 percent of smartphone users have downloaded at least 10 mobile apps and 72 percent of consumers report a more positive view of a company that lets users connect via a mobile app.
