Green building is sustainable building, but it’s not always healthy building. Majestic Estate Developers is proud to be able to accomplish both with the Healthy Dream Home™: protecting the homeowner’s health while also concentrating on protecting the earth’s natural resources at the same time. The Healthy Dream Home™ is constructed using steel structural insulated panels (SSIPs) courtesy of Hi-Tech Building Systems. The ThermaSteel steel structural insulated panels (SSIPs) are made of recyclable steel and EPS which provides extreme strength and durability. The ThermaSteel SSIPs provide superior insulation, eliminate thermal bridging, and considerably reduce energy consumption. When compared to traditional construction, the ThermaSteel SSIPs reduce the homes energy requirement by 40-50% which considerably lowers utility costs and provides substantial long-term savings for the homeowner. The metal standing seam roof keeps the summer months cool by reflecting 33% of the heat, heat which would penetrate a traditional roof. The FAR infrared radiant heat (FIR) system keeps the winter months warm with ultra-comfortable and efficient heating. Unlike traditional construction, the Healthy Dream Home™ features high performance walls with an effective R value of R-33 and a roof with an effective R value of R-45. The high performance and energy-efficient features extend throughout the home.
The Healthy Dream Home™ is located at the Meadows of Majestic Estates, located in Twin Lakes, Wisconsin, ½ mile north of Spring Grove, Illinois. The eco-friendly development is nestled in the country, ½ mile north of the Illinois Wisconsin state line, near Lake Mary and Lake Elizabeth with easy access to Milwaukee and Chicago.
