GreenBuilt Home Tour Welcomes Healthy Dream Home™
Chicago, Illinois (PRWEB) June 18, 2014 -- Majestic Estates is honored to be included in the GreenBuilt Home Tour. The exclusive GreenBuilt Home Tour features exceptional, award-winning, and nationally recognized green homes. The featured homes are located in northern Illinois and southern Wisconsin areas. The 2014 tour will be held July 26-27. An all access pass for the tour can be purchased for $25 which allows attendees to visit the entire lineup of 16 qualifying homes, or a single-site pass can be purchased for $10. Homes are open from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on both days. Tickets are expected to sell out in advance of the tour. Proceeds from the tour go to support green building programs and initiatives of the USGBC Illinois Chapter.
The two-day event will feature green homes, leading designers, builders, architects, and green home owners. The event will focus on green construction, energy saving, and sustainable development. The tour will also highlight certification such as ENERGY STAR for Homes, LEED for Homes, the National Green Building Standard, DOE Challenge Home, Illinois GreenStar, and Passive House.
Green building is sustainable building, but it’s not always healthy building.
