Pre-settlement financing company adds skilled litigator to experienced team of underwriters

Howard Hopson of USClaims

USClaims ( has hired Howard B. Hopson, a highly skilled litigation attorney, as a litigation funding senior underwriter. Hopson joins an experienced team of underwriters who work with plaintiffs and their attorneys to provide funding for living expenses while a case works its way through the legal system.

Adding Hopson to the USClaims underwriting team broadens the company’s ability to assess funding candidates, according to company founder and president Darryl Levine.

“Howard has a strong background in various types of liability law,” Levine said. “That’s a great advantage for us, because the applications we process involve complex matters of liability. His experience will enhance our underwriting process.”

He earned his J.D. from the Dickinson School of Law of the Pennsylvania State University, his M.B.A. from the University of Pittsburgh and his B.A. from Lehigh University. Originally from Northeastern Pennsylvania, he currently resides in the Philadelphia area.
