San Pedro Fish Market announces it is selling a record amount of giant crab legs

Snow Crab is often a luxury for many families but for the million plus diners annually at San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant, holder of four Guinness World Records diners are adding the succulent seafood to their trays in record numbers.

"Our sales this year for Snow Crab are up by 100% to over 675 pounds per month on average," says Mike Ungaro, Vice President, Marketing for San Pedro Fish Market and Restaurant. "Our guests all highly prize snow crab for its incredible flavor and texture and more and more this special treat is becoming a regular order."

Year to date, the 3,000 seat restaurant has posted sales and attendance increases above 20%, including having to meter entrances on the weekends to insure one-of-a-kind positive guest experiences. A key driver of those sales increases has been the record demand for snow crab which diners are increasingly choosing to add to their family style meal trays when visiting the Fish Market.

"Diners pick their meals from our traditional fish market, buying their seafood by the pound, and then we prepare it for them for free with our world famous spices or other preparations our guests can pick," explained Mike Ungaro. "Every week, we serve more than 20,000 guests, which is up approximately 20% from last year alone."
