MobileNation Joins With Sprint to Expand 4G LTE in Underserved Rural Areas
Murfreesboro, Tenn. (PRWEB) June 17, 2014 -- SI Wireless, LLC dba MobileNation announced it has reached 4G LTE agreements with Sprint to deliver competitive high speed mobile broadband solutions in rural markets.
The MobileNation and Sprint agreement allows MobileNation to upgrade its rural coverage to 4G LTE across approximately 10,000 square miles. This partnership will provide Sprint customers more rural coverage throughout Tennessee and Kentucky, while MobileNation customers will gain access to Sprint’s nationwide 4G LTE network.
Before the agreement, customers in rural parts of MobileNation’s network, had only two choices for 4G LTE coverage. Once MobileNation’s 4G LTE network is complete, consumers will have access to a robust LTE network that provides a more competitive high speed alternative.
“We are proud to work with Sprint, who has embraced the small carrier community to help us develop 4G LTE in rural areas and increase the competitive choices in underserved areas,” stated Terry Addington, CEO of MobileNation. “Our Sprint agreement will allow us to accelerate our 4G LTE deployment and provide consumers with a more competitive choice,” added Addington.
MobileNation will also gain access to a larger handset ecosystem to provide consumers an even better competitive handset selection. Michael Beehn, MobileNation COO stated “Small carriers often lack the scale required to gain competitive access to all handsets, and our new relationship with Sprint will give us additional options to help ensure we bring competitive products to the market sooner.”
“This agreement demonstrates Sprint’s commitment to provide better coverage, a faster network and a wider selection of lower-cost wireless devices to all customers, regardless of where they live,” said Michael C. Schwartz, Sprint senior vice president of Corporate and Business Development. “Through unique and flexible deals with carriers like MobileNation we are providing an enhanced 4G LTE experience for Sprint customers and increasing wireless choice and competition across rural America.”
