Spaying and neutering is the best way to ensure unwanted pets don’t end up in shelters, as strays, or worse.
Covington, GA (PRWEB) June 19, 2014
Countryside Veterinary Services in Covington, Ga., has recently implemented its Pet of the Week program to help Walton County Animal Shelter find loving homes for pets in need. Countryside Vets has taken on this project as a way of giving back to its community.
Last week’s Pet of the Week, Samson, was adopted within only four hours!
Countryside Vet Offers Great Incentives for Adopting a Pet
Walton County adoption is $40 and includes first vaccinations, deworming, a HomeAgain microchip, heartworm testing, and a $15 voucher toward rabies vaccination.
As an incentive for residents to adopt the Pet of the Week from Walton County Animal Shelter, Countryside Vet will give a free “pet starter kit” to adoptive pet parents and spay or neuter their new pet for free.
The starter kit includes a $35 gift card to Countryside Vet and a leash, toy, bowl and a bag of food.

spaying and Neutering Can Save Pets from an Uncertain Future
Countryside Vets would like to spread the word that spaying and neutering is the best way to ensure unwanted pets don’t end up in shelters, as strays, or worse. Spaying and neutering are relatively simple surgical procedures that require very little downtime. Pets that are spayed or neutered also benefit from a decreased risk of other health problems as they get older.
